Desktop Icons

Hi -
I am having trouble with my icons on my desktop. When I sign on they come up
on my desktop but they do not look like they did yesterday. They are all the
same icon. They look like a white piece of paper with the top right hand
corner folded down with some sort of Windows emblem in the middle. Each icon
says its appropriate name but it will not open when I double click on it. It
bring up a window that says "Windows can not open this file". What do I do?

Do you have a virus scanner? If so, update its virus definitions, and run it.

Also, I would download Adaware SE 1.05

and SpyBot search and Destroy

install, update, and run them as well.

On it's Repair tab is an option to repair icons.
