Desktop Icons

Does anyone know how to place a button on "Quick Launch" which will show or
not-show the desktop icons. I've got a really nice background to view most
of the time, but having to go:: desktop, right-click, line up icons,
show/hide icons is more than I'd like to do. Can this be done with a single
click???

I don't have a quick answer that you are looking for but
what I do it set my desk top not to show desktop icons
and then I put a desktop toolbar on my taskbar. This
makes a small toolbar like the Quick Launch bar that
shows all of my desktop icons.

Yes, it can. A simple reg or vbscript would handle it.
