Desktop file

I found a file on my desktop titled "Desktop.ini." The text in the file
reads,"[LocalizedFileNames]
Windows Media Player.lnk=@C:\WINDOWSinf\unregmp2.exe,-4." When I attempted
to delete this file I was warned that it is a system file: "If you remove
it, your computer or one of your programs may no longer work." What should I
do?

In English it makes no difference. If you were a NESBY then it will pretend that a file called Windows Media Player.lnk is what ever that translates to in a non english language. The file may have come from Quick Launch or a Start Menu folder.

If you speak english it doesn't matter if you delete it.
