desktop background

How can I remove backgrounds from the list of backgrounds
you find under control panel> displays> desktop? Also,
any time I scan anything the item goes right to the
background list. How can I stop this too?

Hi Ray,

Windows XP will look in the My Pictures folder and Windows folder for
possible backgrounds.

Move the file to a different location [Windows XP fetches the images from
the the following paths]

C:\WINDOWS
C:\WINDOWS\WEB\WALLPAPER
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER NAME>\My Documents\My Pictures
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER NAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
