Desktop Background

I used to be able to put a personalized background up, but now when I go to
my desktop background the word "Background" is greyed out and I am not
allowed to scroll through the list of backgrounds. Is this a virus?
Thanks!

You are posting everywhere in the newsgroup. What about your problem? Is it
being solved? You replied in "CAROLINA" thread that it has been solved.

It's fixed now, well, kinda, now the icons still show the windows background,
like they used to do in older versions.

You have to check 3 settings for this.

1. Right click on an empty area of desktop, point to Arrange Icons by -
uncheck "Lock Web Items on Desktop".
2. Right click on an empty area of desktop and click Properties. Click
Desktop tab and make sure that the background is not an HTML file. Also click
the Customize desktop button and then click Web tab and uncheck all the "Web
pages" listed.
3. if that doesn't solve the problem, right-click on My COmputer and choose
Properties. Click the Advanced tab and then click Settings button under
Performance. On the Visual Effects tab make a check mark on "Use drop shadows
for icon labels on the desktop".

Hope this help, let us know!

Did you mean that your Desktop Icon Labels has a background or color. If that
is so then you must recheck those 3 settings I told you before. Otherwise,
you can search the NewsGroup for the same problem.

Hope this help, let us know!
