Desktop Background & Roaming Profiles

With roaming profiles enabled, when a I log onto a computer for the first
time, my desktop background is set to light blue. However, when I look at
the desktop background in "Display Properties", it previews correctly (it
had been set previously on another machine). If I hit "OK" ("Apply" is
disabled because no changes have been made), the background is set
correctly. Every user has to do this on all computers. The computers are
Windows XP SP-1 deployed via RIS.

Is this only me or have others had similar problems?

Thanks,

Tom N.

One of my users came to me the other day with a similar
problem. It was as if his desktop setting was hiding
behind the default setting for the machine. Its weird
and I'm not sure how to resolve it. I have a feeling it
has to do with the default user profile conflicting with
the user's roaming profile.
