Desktop Background from Internet

Is there a way to get back a previously used desktop background that I found
off the internet? I had changed it to another image and wasn't able to return
back to the one I had already had. This question has been really annoying me
so I will greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks;

R.click the desktop, properties, display, see if its in the desktop choices
listed.
If not,try search in my computer, all files/folders,show hidden, type in the
name
of the file or simply type:jpg

Well, the problem is that I didn't save it to my computer- I only
right-clicked the picture and chose 'set as background'.

It's saved here:

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Internet Explorer Wallpaper.bmp
(Type the above in Start, Run)

If you've used the same method ("Set as Background" context menu option in IE), then it would have overwritten the "Internet Explorer Wallpaper.bmp". The previous image can't be recovered in that case. You can try a third-party file recovery tool though.

If you haven't done the same with the current wallpaper...

It's in C:\Documents and settings\<your name>\application
data\Microsoft|Internet Explorer.

the file is "Internet Explorer Wallpaper.bmp"

Yes, I did it the same way as before. But thank you anyway. I may try a
third-party recovery tool as you suggested but I think I'm going to quit
because I have no idea how long that would take.
