Desk Cleanup deleted all my programs and files!!

Hi, One of the options in the desk cleanup window is :
Deleting files created by other Windows 98 or Windows Me tools.
Removing optional Windows 98 or Windows Me components that you do not use.
i selected them.
as the cleaning process going I notes things disappear from my desk top and my files and doc deleted, all my files was deleted (14 GIGB).
No restore point.
How to get back my HD as it before the cleanup?
 
Where were the documents stored. Disk cleanup doesn't remove any items from the My Documents folders.

Disk cleanup is a thorough process, it bypasses the recycle bin as it deletes information and as such you have no recovery.

System Restore does not affect [create a backup or restore delete files] data files, only applications and system registry. So it won't bring back the dead / deleted files.

You may be able to buy a third party disk recovery application.
