Hi can anyone help me get my desk top back to full screen
the left hand side has a white area that has drop down menus
folder tasks , other places , details , etc
How can i get rid of it and just have a full screen of desk top ?
in windows Xp Pro .

Remove Common Tasks from the Desktop
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm (Line 15 on the left)

You may need to refresh the desktop or logoff then logon for the removal of
the Common Task on the Desktop to take place.
