Deploying Win XP SP2 (what to look out for)?

B

BMN

I am about to deploy SP2 in a very sensitive software development area
on production workstations.

Any comments, suggestions, things to watch out for? Can I trust
restore points? etc etc.

I personally don't think there are going to be any issues, but the
users on these PC's are very twitchy about things. They are
programmers and have a lot of custom software running and can't
tolerate any downtime.

TIA

Lots of good info there- I basically took the plunge and waited for the
calls. Only two things broke, both windows firewall related:

Make an exception for OUTLOOK.EXE (new mail doesn't show up until clicking
on the inbox)

Allow RDP (if you use it)

HTH!
