I have tried and followed all the troubleshooting
suggestions for trying to delete sites visisted from my
address bar. So far I have been un-successful in doing
so. Would appreciate any info on something that might let
me accomplish this.

This should definetly work.
1. Click on the "Start" button.
2. Click on "Run"
3. Type in "regedit"
4. Open "My Computer->HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software-
Microsoft->Internet Explorer->Typed URLs"
5. Delete all the values that start with "url,"
i.e. "url1," "url2," etc.
Congratulations, you're done.

This process works and clears them from run also:

Clear IE History, AutoComplete, Clear the TIF, Clear the RunMRU, Typed URL's
and Clear List (depending on which Start Menu you are using): Right click
the Start button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Recent Documents/Clear List.

Why do all that work! Spend the 24.95 and get Webroot's
Window Washer on line. It will clean your IE cache and
anything else you list at any time you designate. It's
worth it.

Question for you. Will this allow you to eliminate only certain websites,
while leaving others in the address line drop-down? I want to cover my
tracks, but other family members use the drop-down as a "favorites" option,
so I don't want to eliminate all of them, as in clearing history. Thanks for
your help.
