Deleting programmes

Trying to delete a programme but cannaot! Keep getting
message 'Could not open INSTALL.LOGfile'. What does this
mean please and what can I do about it? Thanks Alex

Reinstall the program on top of the existing files and then retry
uninstalling it.
 
You should uninstall programs NOT delete them. Or you will have a heck of a
mess.
