Search for WindowsMail.MSMessageStore
There should be two copies, one in the Windows Mail folder under your user
and one in \backup\new under that same Windows Mail folder. You must delete
both copies or it will just use the other.
Then use Windows Explorer to delete anything in Windows Mail\Local
Folders\Deleted Items under your user profile. I'm not at home so I can't
give exact paths, no Vista machine available.
Click Start.
Click Search in the right hand column.
Click Advanced Search.
Check the box to Include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
Type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore in the box that says Search.
Delete both copies that are in your user profile.
Tom,
You can onlly delete 1 at a Time, wiyh the way I suggested which, I had 46
deleted messages, and now they are all gone. If you used what I said there
should be nothing in your Deleted Box.
