If this is the problem I am thinking it is you will have boot the computer in
safe mode, log in as administrator, use the explorer bar to get to where the
file is (I.E. if it is only on one users disktop then you will have to go to
the users Documents and Settings file, open the Desktop file, and deleat it
from there.
Try that and see if it gives you another error message.
