Deleting Expresslink file

Greetings, hope someone can help. Somehow the web accelerator Expresslink
got put in my files-I don't know if I clicked a wrong button or what-back in
the fall of '04. Now the company Ositech charged me for something 6/21/05.
I tried to remove the offending file-Expresslink-and received the following
error-"cannot delete reminder.exe: Access is denied make sure the disk is
not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use. I
can't simply email or call the company as they haven't replied to my last 25+
inquiries regarding the charge! Is there any way to get rid of this file on
my own?

Often, a reboot followed by an immediate attempt to delete the file works
just fine. Give it a try. Second way, is to boot into Safe Mode (pressing F8
a few times while booting).

2. Open a command prompt.
3. Right-click the taskbar, and select Task Manager.
4. On the Processes tab, select Explorer.exe, and click the End Process
button.
5. Minimize Task Manager, but don't close it.
6. At the command prompt, use the Delete command to remove the file, and
close the command prompt.
7. In Task Manager, go to File | New Task (Run).
8. In the Create New Task dialog box, enter Explorer.exe, and click OK.
9. Close Task Manager

Hi, sorry, I forgot to mention I'm a novice at this and have no idea how to open a command prompt or when and how to delete the file during reboot on a windows XP. Also, I've tried taking ownership of the file with no success.
