Deleting Auto Complete Entries

This sounds stupid, but it's frustrating. I'm using Outlook 2003. I have a
number of email addresses that have been cached and which appear as auto
complete entries. I don't want them in there, and particularly one which
gets listed alphabetically before another that I use all the time. Outlook
help says to select the auto complete entry by using the up and down keys,
then press Del. That does not work. What else can I do.

It does work unless you are doing something strange.
