Deleting a folder.....help please

Trevor Marsh

Hi,

I used to have my HDD divided into three partitions. A week or so ago I
used Partition Magic to merge two of the partitions into one, leaving two
partitions. During the operation Partition Magic gave me a message about
files on the partition to be deleted/merged would be copied to a folder in
the root of my C: partition. That folder is there and contains just the
"system information folder". It is 0 bytes and I'd like to get rid of it;
However no matter what I try access is always denied. As my file system is
NTFS a DOS boot disk won't help and the repair console still won't let me
delete the folder.

Does anyone here know any way to get rid of it please? It's 0 bytes so
not taking any room but it's just annoying me that it's there and not
needed.

TIA,

Trev

The only 'person' with rights to access this folder is the magic user
'SYSTEM' (which is the owner/creator). Give yourself access rights, and
then you can remove it (start, help, security tab). If you have simple
file sharing turned on, you may need to turn it off to get to play with
this tab.
