Hi,

I have XP Professional, all NTFS file system...

Once, I used "Partition Magic" to merge two partitions
(D and E ) into one D. I was asked to give a name for
a folder which will contain eventual data from the E
partition (which is supposed to be dead after the operation).

Now, I have this folder structure:
....
D:\second\System Volume Information
D:\System Volume Information
....

"second" is the folder name I gave to Partition Magic
to store the data from E partition. The E partition was
empty anyway, but now I cannot get rid of the folder
"second" because of "System Volume Information"
which is inside it.

I tried everything: to delete it form the Safe mode, to
change the Permissions, to delete it with 3rd party
software, and nothing helped.

Can you please suggest me what to do?
