Delete [Norton AntiSpam] from "Subject" line and scan attachments

I sent an email with "test" in the subject line which included a "file"
attachment to another address and when I opened it, the subject line read
"[Norton AntiSpam]test" and the attachment was NOT scanned with Norton before
it was sent. Is there a "setting" on Outlook that is not right to scan the
attachment beforehand? I do not think if I was to send an attachment to
someone with that in the subject line, they might be hesitant to read it.

No, Outlook has no setting that would interact with your anti-virus program like that. I'd suggest Norton put the text there.

This just happened with Outlook. I tried with all my other accounts, (Yahoo,
Netscape, Aim, Verizon), and it did not happen and when I opened the email,
the subject line did not have "[Norton AntiSpam] in it and the attachment had
been scanned.

What do those other mail products have to do with it? Outlook does NOT
alter the subject. Norton AntiSpam is doing it, pure and simple.
