Delay in Type appearing on computer screen windows xp

When I type I can type faster then the screen will display the words or
numbers and I can not type fast. It happens in all programs. I have 564
memory. My computer did not use to do this. What could be causeing this?

You have plenty of memory but your system has probably reached grid-lock.
A computer that drastically needs cleaning of corrupted unnecessary files,
Cookies, On/off-line Temporary Internet files, MRUs. To start do a Disk
Cleanup.
Start>All Programs>Accesssories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup
Get help is needed, than after cleaning do a Defrag.
