intermittent keyboard typing issue

In any explorer window, when typing, i have to type slowly because i will
have to hit some keys twice before they appear on screen. This doesn't
happen in Word. Only when I open a new window like this one. It is not the
same keys everytime. It is also the spacebar and backspace key as well.
Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

Try cleaning the keyboard of the inevitable debris that falls between
and under the keys and can interfere with "light" key strokes.

Thanks. I tried that already. Again I do not have this problem in Word,
Excel orPowerPoint. Only in windows.
