greetings my friends! i need assistance with the two modules mentioned above
as i can't seem to use them anymore. i had a recent attack from a trojan
downloader which my antivirus was able to remove quite efficiently (Kaspersky
v6), and from then on the disk defragmenter and disk cleanup utility seem to
be out of use completely, as everytime i click on them, the programme begins
and then stalls and my hard disk stops operating (indicated by the LED not
lighting up any longer). your assistance would be gratefully received!

Hi Hasan,
Open a Rubn command and type in the text box:
regsvr32 dfrgui.dll click [OK] please Note the space between
sfc_and the DLL in both command.
regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll click [OK]
Reboot your computer and logon back again.
Open Windows Explorer and locate this file in this path:
C:\Windows\inf right Clcik *dfrg.inf * and select install.

How you handle your Memory usage did you locate a size for it or let Windows
to handle it/manage it.

Also Run this command after you finished and Derag is working and Disk
cleanup from the run command type:
sfc /scannow click [OK] get your XP CD handy to insert it if been asked to
do so.
HTH.
Please report back your progress.
Regards,
nass

it is likely that there
are more corrupted system
files that you have not
encountered as of yet.

i suggest to simply do a
windows repair installation
with your windows cd.
