Defrag help

When I try to run defrag I get this error
Microsoft Management Console MMC cannot open the file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dfg.msc
Running XP Home edition...
Have done Virus scan, adware and spybot ...nothing there...
Checked google and MS support...what next??

The complete message is as follows
Microsoft Management Console

MMC cannot open the file

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dfg.msc.

This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console,
or was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because
you do not have sufficient access rights to the file

Go to run,type:cmd
At the curser typeefrag C:
When its thru type:EXIT
If still no go,type:Sfc /Scannow
When thats thru,exit,restart computer,then try defrag again.
