Hi all,

I use Diskeeper on my workstations, but I can't find how to defrag my NAS.
What do I need to do this? Any help please?

Thanks.

You probably can't unless it is an option in the interface for managing the
NAS. A lot of lower cost NAS devices use Linux as the OS with the drive
being formatted with the FAT32 file system. If this is the case you would be
able to remove the drive, install it in a computer, defrag the drive, then
reinstall it in the NAS device. Make sure you have a good backup first :-)

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. My NAS (Buffalo LinkStation) is Linux based, but I
formatted it to NTFS. It's a great little box - perhaps Buffalo have a
utility? - I'll try them.

Regards,
Steve
