defender ver 1592

I just downloaded this version, unfortunatley i use windows 2000 AND COULD
NOT INSTALL IT. what am I to do. Do I continue to use the ver 1347, until i
change my system to xp.

You can continue to use the current version, but it may well expire on
December 31. I would look into alternatives. I've heard good things about
AVG's free antispyware application.
