I just booted up and found the yellow shield installing an update, Defender
updated. Seemed like a longer install than normal, was anything else updated ?

Hi Ron,

In Santa Catalina Island CA. at 16:48 after turning on the unite, the
AutoUpdate jump on the scene. Let see how long the D/L and install take.
(probably 1 hr.) This D/L should be an Upgrªde with a new engine, ) or maybe
a new WD version I´ll post as a ussual the findings.

Hi Engel:
Thanks for remembering me. I see that the posting has slowed down after the
final Defender came out. I have moved to theWindows Live OneCare forum but
the moderators are very,very strict about the posting . It has to be strictly
WLOC stuff, or you are reminded and/or your post erased. It has to be that
way to have control. I hope oneday Bill will lead all the gang to these
forum. The forum format is more modern.
Here is a post I did on the installation of WLOC and Defender. If you can ,
tell me what you think I have missed or should change. I will soon translate
it to spanish to publish in a Puerto Rico newspaper:

Are you using a dial-up connection? I have DSL and this
download/install took about 1 minute on my PC.

Thanks for remembering me! I just finished reformatting and reinstalling One
Care and Defender. My PC got all borked by the faulty MSN 9.5 upgrade. All
is well now, I hope. Happy Thanksgiving to you and to everyone else here at
