Defender STILL not Defending

OK I updated Defender to its curent version and had it scan my system but
found no threats. So I wondered "WHAT IF..." and scan the system with ewido
anti-malware and guess what?! ewido found 4 infected "cookies"
(DoubleClick,Question Market ans two Zedo. Is it that maybe Defender doesn't
check for cookies? If not WHY?

Cookies are harmless . I am not Defender tester but in beta 1 they were
missed since as I said , they are harmless !

Windows Defender doesn't differentiate among cookies. There was a cookie
detection once in beta1--aroused some interest, but turned out to be a false
positive.
