Windows Defender 1, other 600

Hi,

I am running Vista Business Edition with Windows Defender,

I keep updated Windows Defender, since I am alomost all of the time
connected to the Web.

I have downloaded Ad-Aware se from Lavalsoft in order to remove a spyware
that Defender was not able to remove (see the post "Windows Defender error
0x80501001").

After a scan Ad-Aware had found more that 600 cookies and MRU that was
suspicious, while Defender detected only one.

Is there any settings that I have to turn on for Windows Defender to detect
suspicious cookies or MRUs?

I don't want to use anything else than Microsoft products, and I might not
know how to set Windows Defender in the right way...

Is there any settings I could use to detect those possible issues?

Many thanks!

From the Windows Defender FAQ:

Q.
Why doesn't Windows Defender detect cookies? Does Microsoft plan to detect
these in future versions of the software?

A.
Many cookies are used for legitimate purposes and Microsoft believes that
the appropriate place to manage cookies is through your Web browser.

This question has come up many times in the General Newsgroup and you'll
also find the suggested browser settings to control third party cookies in
those answers... just search for the keyword cookies.
