defender and symantec

Symantec keeps popping up a messge that defender is tampering with an open
process. It really doesn't do anything, except that it is really annoying.
I have tried to make the application an allowed file in defender and defender
still keeps scanning the file. How does one make defender remember that this
file should not be scanned period?

The fault is with the Symantec product, since it's complaining about a simple
attempt to read a file as if it were an attack.

If you want the alerts gone, complain to Symantec about the useless alerts.
