Default files to open

Is there a way to set up Windows XP so that each time when I boot the
computer it automatically opens several selected files from either Excel or
Word files that I work with and modify throughout each day?

computer it automatically opens several selected files from either Excel
or Word files that I work with and modify throughout each day?

Create a shortcut for each of the files you would to startup when you log in
at this location:

[c:\documents and setting\[User Name]\Start Menu\Programs\Startup]
