default e-mail link switched away from OE

For years clicking on an e-mail address would bring up my OE, or at least
record the e-mail sent after the click to my OE Sent Box...suddenly all such
links bring up a new "Microsoft Office 2003" default e-mail form which I did
not request and which does not get recorded in my OE default e-mail client.

What can I do to return the system to the previous form of hooking messages
created with such links to my OE client?

Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs->Set OE as your default.
