Studying converting from OE 6 to Outlook

I am currently using OE 6 and have used it for years. I use OE 6 because I
am a consultant to several companies and represent them to customers and
therefore need an id with a company sig. block for each and attached to their
mail server. Currently I have 3 ID's and one has 2 email accounts the others
have 1. I have many years of past emails on my OE 6 system and would like to
bring them forward. I also have separate Address Books for each ID and would
like to keep that feature also.

My question is: Is it possible to have a simular operation in Outlook? I
am currently using Office 2003 but could upgrade if it was required. I am
running XP Pro SP3.

I just switched to a Blackberry and because of my set up have been forced to
use the Blackberry Internet option which is causing a problem with the
delays. Also one of my ID's is planning to use a central address book for
all users and that is going to force me to use Outlook for his account. Can
I use Outlook and OE 6 at the same time? What problems will this evoke?

I would appreciate help and direction to any reading available.

Thank you

You can run Outlook Express and Outlook side by side without any problems.
The equivalent of OE Identities in Outlook is Mail Profiles.
Outlook 2007 has better managing options for separating POP3 messages coming
in from separate POP3 accounts in the same mail profile than Outlook 2003.
