Only default e - mail client

Hello All

Operating System - Windows XP Home edition

There are 3 user accounts on my computer - two with administrator privileges
and one limited account.

From time to time the e - mail default client is changed form Outlook
Express to Outlook which I find very annoying.

I want the e - mail client to be restricted to Outlook Express only.

How can I achieve this ?

Regards

I know of at least two ways for this to happen. Since there can be exactly
one default mail program per PC (don't ask me why that's true), if any one
changes the default to Outlook from OE, the default will change for
everyone. The second way is if you install an Office update to the PC. If
Outlook is installed, the Office update has a tendency to make Outlook the
default mail program, changing it, as in the prior case, to the default for
everyone.
How can I achieve this ?

I don't know if the default mail program can be locked by registry or policy
setting, as that's beyond my expertise.

Is any of the three users using Outlook? If not, the best fix is to
uninstall Outlook. Otherwise its going to get changed every time an office
update is installed.

Hello Diane and Brian

The answers you have swiftly given me were as I suspected - I was hoping
there may be a windows fix or registry modification.
