Damn USB controller ??..help please

I am attempting to install new hardware (Modem/Router), and need to ensure I
have a correctly installed USB Cotroller.
In my Device manager/harsware I have a yellow question mark against "OTHER
DEVICES", which proves to be a "USB Controller"........I am still unable to
correct this dilema.

At the bottom of my Device manager/hardware there is a line for USB
controllers with 7 entries and NO error indicators:
USB Composite Device
USB Printing support
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub
Via Rev 5 or later USB universal Host Controller
2 more repeats of last entry.

Please help
TIA

You could try uninstalling all the USB host controllers and root hubs , then
scan for hardware changes most should be plug and play.
If prompted for a driver , install from the Motherboard driver disk.
(should it be disc or disk ? : S )

Appears you have everything working except USB2. If that's the case, look
of this on the motherboard driver install CD. Its usually in a separate
folder.

Grateful thanks...that was what you suggested...USB2 to install from M/B CD

No big deal. Its commonly overlooked.
Don't understand why the mobo CD makers can't write a script to install this
after USB 1.1 is properly initialized. Until then, guess we're all stuck
installing the USB2 drivers manually.
