dadburn software driving me nuts

I am having a problem when I am attepting to install a new software
program and I would appreciate any and all help. I am running Windows
XP Home Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 1. Each time I try to
install the software I get this message:
IS20SET caused an access violation in SETUP.EXE at 0x00000024
Any clue as to what the problem maybe? Thanks to any and all who can
help.
