D & E-Drive Problems

For the past couple of months, I have been having trouble trying to get my
computer to recognize the D-drive (CD) and the E-drive (CD-RW) so that I can
copy pictures to a CD (E-drive) or reinstall a program (D-drive). When I put
a music CD in the D-drive, nothing happens. Is there a driver problem???

I use Windows Live OneCare, AdAware, SPYBOT - Search & Destroy and Registry
Easy.

Trying to copy some of my digital pictures to a CD is impossible.

Suggestions, please.

Try unplugging pc,move the 2 drives to other IDE connection, move hd to other
if needed, set the cdrom and rw to slave & master as dictated on IDE cable.Or,
move one to IDE with youre hd,set it to slave with hd (C:) as master....
