Customizing Windows Messenger 5.0

Paul K

We are currently running an older version of MSN
messenger 4.7. In that version we had the ability to
configure a policy to hide the .net and communications
service accounts in the Options -> Accounts tab. I now
have an Live Communications Server up and running and
want to know if it is possible to customize Windows
Messenger 5.0 to only allow SIP logons. I would like to
know if it is possible to "hide" Exchange Messaging
Service and .Net logons. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

You need to get the group policy template file named rtcclient.adm.
It's on the LCS CD. Use gpedit to install it, and you will find the
options to restrict the Exchange and .NET services.
