custom forms

I have created a custom form based on the Post template
for use in an exchange public folder. This is to model a
workflow application. I need to some code that can run
through all posted forms in this folder once a day. Based
upon a condition, the code will have to comapre a
particular date field on each form, and if a task is out
of date, fire an email off to the creator of that form to
let them know. As I cannot place this code within the
form vbscript, can someone point me in the right direction
please, maybe give me an example.

Thank you

Thats a long answer. Try www.slipstick.com for some
examples. I have a book Professional Outlook Programming
by Wrox publishing that has a whole Case Study addressing
this exact problem. It can be done....with some
research...no quick answer here...sorry.

What you need to use is an "Action Item", an item that sits at the
front of your folder's Item display and does noting but display a
command button when you open it. You click the command button to run
the code that does the summary processing that you want to do. In a
contacts folder, I used a name beginning with a numeral, to get the
item to appear at the top of the list. I don't know how your folder
view is set up, so I can't really suggest what you should use to place
the Action Item where you can easily find it.
