cursor randomly repositioning

As I'm typing the cursor jumps to elsewhere in the document. I've cleaned the
keys with a compressed gas duster...what now? I'm using Windows XP home

I had this problem several months ago. It turned out that the mouse
was too sensitive. I was using it on a shiny surface. The problem was
solved by using a mouse pad with a rough surface.
