Cursor missing

When I start my word or outlook express or others applications, the cursor
appear few second then disappear and i do not know where is the cursor
position,

Start>Control Panel>Mouse>Pointer Options tab>tick "show
pointer location when I press the CTRL key">Apply>OK out.
Press the CTRL key and you can locate and see where it disappears to.

One alternative, is to try a mouse from a friend and see if you still
have that problem. You may need a new mouse.
