Cure for the hiccups?

Hello People,

My cd writer burns images and other files well, but when trying to burn
mp3's, each song seems to get an annoying hiccup problem.

Is this a security feature in the music? I've tried various kinds of
software, as well as XP's built in burning feature.

I have a Yamaha 8/4/24 writer (scsi).
