Ctrl Alt Del won't open Task Manager in XP Home

It used to work fine. Then it would work, but the Task
Manager window would close abruptly while I was reading
the task and process lists. Eventually, it autoclosed
faster and faster. Now it won't display at all.

Any clues?

w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Try this to:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.
