Crysis wont load

Hey,

I just installed crysis and everyting went fine but when I start the game up
the screen goes black for 5 seconds then returns to desktop.

My cpu is probably a bit weak to run the game, but I was able to run the
demo at medium just fine...so im confused.

I have just had to reinstal XP from scratch so it's clean, I updated my
drivers, and windows. Any ideas?

specs
2800+ Athlon
Sapphire ATI x1600 PRO
2 gig ram

I had the same issue when loading Crysis. I also noticed a couple other games having the same problem. My solution was to use an older Display Driver. After that, the games load properly again.

Video Card: Radeon 9600 Pro
Installed: Catalyst Software Suite 7.10
Games: Won't load
Uninstalled: 7.10 Display Driver
Installed: 7.5 Display Driver (for test)
Games: Load

This issue was tested before and after a fresh Windows installation, so there might just be something with the new ATI software. I'm not sure really. I haven't had the time to test if anything above 7.5 works.

crysis needs a very good graphic card!your graphic card is out of date!
mostly a screen goes black is because the graphic card is old and the games
needs a higher graphic card!
another reason would be the game!it might have a missing file!
mostly it has to do with the graphic card!try it on another pc with a
graphic card supported by crysis!and note !try it with a graphic size of
256mb!and with a ram of 1gb!
