Please help!
Im unable to update windows due to this error.....
Set-up could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf
Make sure the Cryptographicservice is running on this computer
I have used the troubleshoot and the cryptographic service is said to be running ..
Please hel

Look under START|ALL PROGRAMS|ADMINISTRATIVE|SERVICES - at Crytographic...
to be sure.

If it's not set to AUTOMATIC, double-click the item and then click the
small arrow to the right of the box. Choose AUTOMATIC.

Rename the folder windows\system32\catroot2 and reboot. That will
generate a new, clean folder, and you can then delete the renamed one.

Then get - only - Q817287 and install it, which should now be OK. It
is the cure for the problem: you should then be able to carry on with
other updates, and the problem will not recur

For Windows XP Home Edition:

START/CONTROL PANEL/ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS/SERVICES SHORTCUT

Cryptographic Server is in the list, select it and click
Restart service.
