Critical updates install failure

When I attempt to install critical updates, they download
but fail to install. Here's what my history says:
Failed 810649: Critical Update
Failed 329170: Security Update (Windows 2000)
Failed 814033: Critical Update
Failed 810649: Critical Update
Failed 329170: Security Update (Windows 2000)

Can anyone explain why these are failing to install? Any
suggestions to make them work properly? Please, any help
would be appreciated!

Take a look in the windows update.log file in the Windows Directory. It
should have some error codes that indicate the error that caused the
install to fail.

I am having the exact same problem. I am having it on a win2k server running
IIS, RRAS, and a crystal report app server
