Critical Patch Failed to Install

Running a fairly clean Compaq EVO at work with Win2000 pre-
installed. The Critical Patch "Security Update for
Windows 2000 (KB835732)" from Windows Update site failed
to install 3 times on 4/14 A.M. Is this a known problem?

Don't install it. It will make your PC unusable.
After several hours, I managed to get my update uninstalled.

Thanks for the attempted warning. Unfortunately too
late. I installed the Patch from Hell Monday Morning, got
100% CPU, but not until I tried to fire up IE.
Successfully uninstalled. The 4/15 post about MS finding
an audio driver problem sounds like it fits my machine.
Going to go to Intel to download and try it.
