critical update wont install

I am running out of ideas as to what prevents any
critical updates I download to install. I run XP pro,
updates where installing fine until 823980, and none
install since then (821557, 8199696..). I went through
all the suggested fixes I found through the newsgroup and
others, including windows update troubleshooter and
Kelly's (check cryptographic service, rename catroot2,
reloaded certificate...) none fix my problem. I also
checked If it could be the recent worm, but I do not seem
to be infected (I have a daily updated antivirus, and the
XP firewall). I ran symantec MSBLAST cleaner just in
case, but it did not find anything. STill the fact that
my problem started with the Update that is supposed to
fix this worm vulnerability seem like a strange
coincidence. Anybody any other suggestions ?

Yes, I am running into the same problem. None of the
posted solutions seem to work. Any ideas??

Sounds like you have a problem with your Reg.file. Try a
third party clean up like Registry Mechnic. You can find
it by gong to Gooly Search engine.
