failure installing critical update Q329441

I am running windows xp home edition and have faithfully installed all update
patches that have downloaded. For the last week or so, critical update 329441
has been trying to install without success. Anyone else have this problem?
How do you fix it?

Hi tdfl,

Navigate to C:\windows\system32 folder, locate the catroot2 folder and
rename it to oldcatroot2
Now try d/loading and installing the critical update
