Critical update netbios problem????

I have just done a clean reinstall of Windows XP Home on
my system that had crashed. I am now tring to do the
Critical updates for the O/S. When I try to download the
Service Pack I get the messege
"file C:\windows\system32\drivers\netbios.sys is open or
in use by another application" and am told to cancell the
download, could someone please tell me how I can fix this
problem.
 
First thing you should try is to update BIOS driver to
it's latest. Go to your motherboard maker website and
download/install it.
