Creative Audigy 2NX problem

I've had the Creative Audigy 2 NX external sound card for quite a long
time but last week I had a mishap which resulted with the external
power adapter burning out. I've been looking for a universal adapter
with the same output characteristics (5V, 1.5A). Does anyone know if
the replacement adapter must meet these specs or could there be some
deviations for example (5V & 1.2A)? Thanks!

You normally want the same voltage and the same current or more.
